Do
Instant Fusion only produce Virtual Tours for the property market?
No. Whilst
the majority of our business comes from commercial property sector,
we have also produced Virtual Tours of hospitals, catering facilities,
schools, business
centres, restaurants, bars, landmarks and hotels. Most of the answers
below relate to commercial property, but can be just as easily applied
to any location.
Why
do Instant Fusion's Virtual Tour scenes run left to right and back, not
360°?
Through close
consultation with our clients we have opted to use a technique which
gives an honest image avoiding the use of a fisheye lens
which adds considerable distortion. Our Virtual Tours are
created through a series of still photographs resulting in a high
level of detail. Virtual Tour providers who insist on using a 360° perspective
restrict their options for points of view for their
locations. This method usually results in an image shot from the centre
of the space meaning walls begin to close in and so making the space seem
constricted and distorted.
Instant Fusion’s Virtual Tours are flexible allowing us to shoot a 360° view when appropriate or allowing us to use a wide panorama image that rotates backwards and forwards depending on which best suits the space. This combination of different viewpoints allows us to show off each space we shoot to its very best and really open up the spaces.
Why can you not pan up and down?
Panning up
and down reveals more floor and ceiling or ground and sky. By
eliminating these elements Instant Fusion create an
accurate
and straightforward viewing experience. By reducing the amount of information
shown we also create a smaller file, meaning faster viewing times.
Don’t Virtual Tours always have curving distorted walls?
Not Instant
Fusion Virtual Tours! Through years of development, our Virtual Tours
have become the best on the market because we are experts at what we do.
We have developed numerous techniques to ensure our Virtual Tours provide
a realistic and compelling viewing experience.
How
long will it take to download?
On a broadband
connection the scenes will appear almost instantaneously, on dial-up
the wait may be a little longer, but no more than around 20 seconds
for the
very largest scenes of a standard sized viewer. For a larger sized
tour, these dial-up timings will vary.
Do I have to use the standard viewer?
No, we can
design a branded viewer for you featuring company branding throughout,
or design the viewer to fit seamlessly into an existing website. Also
we can provide “frameless” tours that fit directly into websites
without the need for a viewer, an example can be found on the City
Tower website.
Can
I have a different sizes?
Yes. Instant
Fusion Virtual Tours can be produced in any shape or size – wide
or small to meet your specific requirements. A larger tour can be seen
by clicking here.
Our deluxe
e-Brochure product features a larger tour
as standard.
Are your Virtual Tours suitable for small rooms?
We can provide
Virtual Tours for the smallest of areas and show them off to their best.
Because we do not insist on shooting 360° rotating shots, we are able
to shoot from the ideal angle to open up a space.
I have a location that may require more than the standard four scenes, how many can I include?
Our photographers
shoot as many scenes as you like on the day, leaving you to pick and
choose the scenes you would like to keep when the tour is completed.
There is no
obligation for you to purchase all the scenes shot on the day. The
standard tour cost includes four scenes, with extra scenes charged
accordingly, however we are happy to negotiate a reduced cost for packages
that include extra scenes as standard.
What is the procedure for shooting the Virtual Tour?
Instant
Fusion´s photographers specialise solely in the production of
Virtual Tours. With hundreds of Virtual Tours already produced, we are
extremely adept at providing the images your property needs. A photographer
will visit the location at your convenience, and spend as long as is
required (usually around 1½ - 2 hours) to obtain all the imagery. You
are welcome to meet them on site where they will be happy to discuss
your needs and any ideas you may have. Alternatively, we are happy to
attend unaccompanied.
Can
you shoot still images for use in print?
Still images
play a part in the Virtual Tour’s introductory screen, where
architectural features, fittings and local amenities can be shown off.
We are also able to provide quality still imagery for print up to around
A5 size. However, for large scale still photography projects we can
recommend a trusted specialist in this area.
My property is currently being refurbished/completed/re-branded. Can I have some Virtual Tour scenes photographed now and some later?
A subsequent
shoot can be easily arranged at your convenience and newly shot scenes
incorporated into the Virtual Tour as appropriate.
What happens if the weather is poor on the day of the shoot?
All Instant Fusion photographers are highly experienced in digital retouching, meaning only very bad weather conditions, such as snow or torrential rain would cause serious problems for outdoor shoots. If you feel the weather on the day of the shoot is unsuitable you can call us to reschedule at no additional fee.
